Drew
Robertson works under the umbrella of Robertson Media.
He
has a total range of managerial skills, including leadership, consultancy, motivation
and financial control. Skills have been developed while working on newspapers,
magazines and in corporate communications. Broadcast experience has come from
radio and television interviews worldwide both as inquisitor and subject. Kept
pace with computer and digital technology, while adapting skills and pursuing
career as a writer.
Having
lived in Derbyshire for more than 17 years he has been involved in many community
activities. Official roles include sitting on the Florence Nightingale Village
Hall Committee, involved in the rescue of AFC Lea Holloway Football Club, running
it as their secretary, and isa former Chairman of the Matlock & District Football
League. Charity work includes raising money for the Dancing and Reading with Bridget
Charities.
As
a journalist and writer, Drew has a considerable depth of knowledge about a great
number of subjects and issues honed in early professional days reporting on small
community councils right up to the Greater London Council, sitting in many courts
from magistrates, county, crown, inquests and the High Court. Roles include local
reporter, chief reporter, local editor, regional newspaper production editor and
night editor, national newspaper reporter, production editor and one of the youngest
to be a national newspaper editor. Drew has been interviewed on radio, for newspapers
and magazines, appeared on a television chat show, been a presenter on cable television,
worked in corporate communications, speech written and developed, edited and designed
web sites to name a few of his roles.
He
has interviewed leading politicians, including a former Prime Minister, written
countless features from a pro-active approach including running the first London
Marathan and training as a fighter with a top British boxeer.
His
entire level of experience provides a unique set of skills which are a huge asset
in the services that are offered under the Robertson Media umbrella, which now
includes offering teaching communications skills individually or in a group.
